Securing Green Transition

GPRG Environmental Solutions Program together with Europeum is thrilled to share the release of our new policy paper: Securing Green Transition: Sustainability and Security of the Critical Raw Materials Supply in Sweden and Czechia

In the face of the climate crisis the green transition offers us a pathway to prevent and mitigate climate change induced consequences. Current solutions focusing on green technologies, hinge on the secure supply of Critical Raw Materials (CRM). For most European countries, the supply of CRM is neither secure nor sustainable, necessitating research on how to ensure the sustainability and security of the CRM supply. We must recognize that the environmental impacts of production and processing of CRM occurring outside of the EU does not absolve the nations as importers and end-consumers of responsibility for their consequences.
